Launch of Financial Bursary to support SLT service costs in Ireland

New Scheme - Provision of Financial Bursaries to assist in funding the cost of speech and language assessment and/or therapy sessions and/or the purchase of assistive technology
We are delighted to announce a new initiative through Finding Charlie’s Voice, which is the provision of financial bursaries aimed at providing support to families accessing assessments, therapy or assistive technology. The total value of the fund is €10,000.
In 2025 we will have 8 x €1,000 bursaries available for successful candidates as well as the Rushbrooke Communication Technology Bursary worth €2,000. We very much hope that these bursaries will assist families in ensuring access to support services.
The availability of ongoing bursaries from Finding Charlie’s Voice , the amount as well as any eligibility criteria, will be assessed on an annual basis and and published accordingly. There is no guarantee that these bursaries will be available in the future, but on completion of this competition, and once bursaries have been expended, Finding Charlie’s Voice intends to survey and seek feedback from participating candidates and speech and language therapists as to the efficacy and usefulness of the scheme, with a view to enhancing the scheme, and user experience going forward, if relevant.
The bursaries are only available to those attending full-time primary or secondary school education in the Republic of Ireland and who have either been referred for or are actively attending Speech and Language Therapy.
